I am a special ed. Resource room teacher working with children with autism in grades 1-5 who meet with me 1-2 times per week for social skills classes. I consult with the gen. ed. teacher to develop strategies to address behavioral and academic concerns. Would the age and skills addressed be relevant to my students?

A Work in Progress has a section devoted to social and play skills that would certainly be appropriate. The other skills addressed in the curriculum might be for a bit of a younger child but it completely depends on their developmental ability. This book will certainly give you strategies to deal with behavioral concerns. You can find the table of contents at http://cdn.difflearn.com/downloads/DRB_030_Work_In_Progress_TOC.pdf and that might give a better idea of the precise skills targeted in the book.
