Percy sometimes gets upset. He crosses his arms, stamps his feet, and scowls. But when he learns to calm down, he has fun again! Percy Gets Upset addresses emotional skills and dealing with frustration. This is one volume in the I See I Learn series by Stuart J. Murphy. Written by a visual learning specialist, the story utilizes natural, kid-friendly language, informative illustrations and covers important social-emotional issues. The strategies outlined are emphasized by inset images and diagrams which illustrate each component of the multi-step strategies along with simplified sentences making them easier for young learners to recall. Additional activities and questions are provided in the back of the book to support educators and caregivers in further exploration of each topic. The dynamic illustrated characters in each story are engaging and help generate excitement in young learners when you decide to introduce a new title.

I love this book! My 4.5 year old son does all that Percy does when he gets upset. After reading it one time, my son has used some of Percy's techniques to calm down, all on his own. Highly recommended!
