Detailed Description
Competence in communication is essential for a child's personal, social and academic success. Interventions that target sound production, language skills, fluency, social communication and play skills are crucial for the development of children with speech and language delays or disorders.
This CD with 26 original songs and accompanying manual are designed to be used by speech-language pathologists, early childhood educators and families to teach and practice a variety of skills related to the development of communication skills. The songs can be used in individual or group speech-language therapy, in the classroom, at home or even in the car. The 64 page manual provides tips on how to integrate the songs with other activities. The songs give children the concepts, behaviors, and self-talk that support the development of speech, language and social interaction skills.
By David Kisor and Melinda Chalfonte-Evans in conjunction with the Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center Division of Speech Pathology
