Detailed Description Choiceworks uses visuals to motivate children to learn social skills, develop appropriate responses and enhance self-control. There are three distinct Boards included: The Feelings Board provides clear alternatives and expectations for different situations. Collaborative choice-making aids in understanding and increasing self-awareness. The Schedule Board uses the included visual magnets to clearly communicate the tasks that need to be completed for morning, day and nighttime routines. Successful completion of each task is reinforced by the child selecting a reward on the visual choice wheel. With the Waiting Board, built-in choice-making opportunities are combined with the use of controlled time via a timer to teach and develop waiting skills necessary for taking turns and not interrupting, among other skills.
