Detailed Description
A Closer Look at Preschool: Beginning Play Skills uses a unique video modeling approach to help young children learn play and social skills crucial to success in early learning environments. The DVD is organized into 4 components, including professional comments and suggestions to guide parents and professionals. The "instructional component" teaches the child how to play from the point of view of the child's hands. The class time component highlights functional play skills (taught in the instructional component) and social skills (sitting at circle time, joining play, and sharing information with a friend) as they naturally occur in the classroom setting. An "Uh-Oh" component is a fun, interactive quiz that teaches the children several strategies to problem solve their everyday social situations.

DVD, approximately 90 minutes
