Can you suggest what products might work for my child?

We are happy to help in any way we can. We have a dedicated and knowledgeable staff that knows the ins and outs of all of our products. Everyone is happy to give further details on specific products and we can discuss different options for your child. We’d be happy to help you find the most appropriate products for your child.

How do I find out more specific information on certain products?

Do you accept School Purchase Orders?

Yes, indeed! We’re happy to work with schools and organizations. Just mail or fax us your official Purchase Order and we’ll get it processed right away.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Personal Checks and Money Orders can be mailed in with your order, but unfortunately, we cannot accept this form of payment by phone or web.

For international orders, all invoices are charged in US Dollars. Your credit card statement will reflect the charge in your local currency according to the current exchange rate.

How long will my order take to arrive?

We pride ourselves on the speedy delivery of your order. An order received by 1pm EST Monday through Friday will be sent out that same day, provided all items are in stock. We ship from our warehouse in Connecticut via UPS or Priority Mail.

Delivery times range from 1 business day in the Tri-State area to a maximum of 5-6 business days to locations on the west coast. Priority Mail to most locations arrives in 3-5 Business Days.

We also offer expedited shipping options such as Overnight, 2nd Day Air and 3rd Day Air if you need your items in a hurry.

For our International customers we also have an Express option. You can get an exact quote on our website by adding the items you’d like to purchase to your cart and then clicking on “Estimate Shipping Cost.” You can also always email us at info@difflearn.com or call 800-853-1057 or 212-604-9637 for a Shipping Quote.

How do I know if my order was successfully placed online?

If you provide an email address, you will automatically be sent an email confirming your order with a confirmation number. Another email will be sent to you upon shipment providing the Shipping Method and Tracking Information so you know exactly when to expect your delivery.

If I order online, will my credit card information be safe?

We have a Hacker Safe, fully secure, encrypted site that protects all your personal information. Please click on our Privacy Page for further details.

How much do you charge for delivery?

For Domestic Orders, including HI, PR and AK, shipping is charged according to the subtotal of your order.
Please see our Shipping Rates for a full breakdown of all costs.
Orders shipping to Canada are charged according to the same shipping table, with an additional $10 USD surcharge. International Orders are charged according to the weight of the package and the destination country. For an exact quote, please go online or email us.

What is your Return Policy?

The goal here at Different Roads to Learning is and always has been to help children with Autism learn and grow. Although we pride ourselves on the quality and utility of our products, we understand that sometimes, a product is just not right for a particular child. We will happily accept returns on any merchandise within 30 days, provided the item is in pristine condition.

Can I return items after they have been opened?

Yes, you can. How would you know whether it was the right thing for your child if you didn’t get the chance to view it? Provided the item is not worn or damaged we accept returns on all merchandise within 30 days. Please keep in mind that any opened products are often donated to schools and organizations that support children with ASD so please be sure to send things back in the condition that you’d like to receive them in.

How do I find out about sales or specials?

We occasionally send out email notices about special sales and new products that we are excited about. Be sure to sign up to receive Special Offers on our home page so that we can keep you in the loop.

Can I send a gift to someone?

Absolutely! Gift wrapping is available for the small fee of $5.00.
We offer birthday themed wrapping paper as well as animal gift wrap for any occasion.

Do you offer Gift Certificates?

We certainly do! You can order online or call us to purchase a Gift Certificate in any denomination you choose.

Do you have a store I can visit?

We would love to be able to meet our customers in person but we work out of a small office in Manhattan and our storefront is only virtual!
If you’re in town and visiting, we can always ship materials to your hotel or to a friend. Just let us know your dates of arrival and departure and we’ll be sure to get your package to you in time!

Why don't your products have recommended ages on them?

We intentionally leave this information out. We feel that there are more important considerations when selecting an appropriate product for a child than age. If you have specific questions about content and the target mainstream age, we’d be happy to give you more details if you give us a call.
